Seniors-On-Line are the acknowledged specialists in conducting relaxed and informal introductory word processing, internet & email computer classes for seniors with little or no previous computing or typing experience. A comprehensive selection of more advanced computer learning is also available. All classes are conducted by experienced fellow seniors with the aid of volunteer helpers to provide one-on-one assistance in the class room. Seniors-On-Line is a not-for-profit, all volunteer operated organisation able to offer classes at lower cost.
Note that classroom computers are of the IBM design and use the Microsoft Windows XP operating system and Microsoft Office 2002 application programs.
Changeover of the classroom computers operating system from Windows XP to Windows Vista, will not occur before 2010. However, Microsoft Office 2007 suite of application programs has been installed and can be used to give instruction to students who have this suite of application programs on their computer.
Seniors On Line does not provide instruction for Apple Macintosh computers.
